On October 28,2016 I sustained my first football injury, tearing every ligament in my left knee. Thanks to Dr. Robertson he not only gave me surgery but changed my life. This injury has made me a different person on the football field and in life, it taught me hard work, perseverance and it increased my passion for football. After the longest process of my life (rehab) I was finally released to play football again, I started the season back to my old position before I got hurt on the Defensive line, as the season progressed I got moved to a much harder position on offense call halfback. Through the season I've had my ups and downs with my knee but managed to keep it flexible and strong. Now I play offensive line for Mansfield Summit. Again, I want to thank the TMI trainers and Dr. Robertson for all they have done, because of them I have made just enough plays to help my team make playoffs.

I am 65 years old and have been active most of my life. In 2000, I tore both of my rotator cups and the orthopedic surgeon told me that with a little rest both of them would repair, but the doctor was wrong. My left rotator cup never repaired itself and over the years it continued to get worse.
By 2005, the pain in my left shoulder had reached a point where I knew something was wrong. At that time, I went to an orthopedic surgeon, and he explained to me that the damage to my shoulder was not severe enough, and the insurance company would not pay for surgery at that time. He recommended that I cut back on the amount of activity that I was doing and try to give the shoulder a chance to heal on its own.
By 2009, the shoulder was in constant pain, and I had to cut back on the amount of activity that I was involved in due to this pain. By 2013, I decided that one way or the other I was going to have surgery to correct this problem.
In April, I started looking for a surgeon and after visiting several doctors seeking their opinion; I contacted a friend of the family, a trauma surgeon at Parkland Hospital and asked for a referral. He came up with the name of Dr. William Robertson of UT Southwestern.
Eight weeks later, I am happy that I made the decision to have the surgery handled by Dr. William Robertson and his staff. Dr. Robertson told me after surgery that he saw no reason why I would not have full use of my left shoulder and arm. Eight weeks later, I have recovered about 75 to 80% full usage of my shoulder and arm and hope for full recover. I am extremely happy with the recovery process that I am going through. By following the recovery process laid out by Dr. Robertson and his staff I am recovering faster than I thought humanly possible. A week and a half after surgery I was able to stop all pain medication and returned to my favorite past time of writing fiction novels with little pain.
All I can tell you is that if you live anywhere within a comfortable traveling distance of Dr. Robertson's office, before you make a decision of which surgeon will perform surgery on your shoulder you should consider Dr. William Robertson and his staff. They have changed my life for the better.
I am a 69 year old woman. I have had both knees replaced by another surgeon. I developed a bone infection in my right knee. I was sent to a specialist who replaced the knee along with all the ligaments, tendons, etc.. I couldn't walk or even stand on it without it giving way and falling for 3 years. (They had taken out my knee cap and tendons that straigten the leg). I went back to my original knee doctor who then sent me to Dr. Robertson. Dr. Robertson listened to me and really appeared to care about me, my problem and wanting to help me. When I met him I couldn't use my leg at all. I had no control over it. I was unable to move, lift or anything else without manually placing it where I wanted it to go. Other doctors gave me the option of an above the knee amputation.
Dr. Robertson performed surgery replacing the knee cap and the tendons. Thanks to Dr. Robertson I am now able to stand and walk again after 3 years of not being able to use it at all. I drive at least an hour from home to his office and it is worth every mile and minute. If you want a doctor who is very caring, knowledgeable, and willing to help you there is no one any finer. I would recommend him to anyone because I honestly don't think you could get anyone better than Dr. Robertson.

I am a 68 year old very active female. I live about two hours away from Dr. Robertson's practice. When I was referred to him, I did not know what to expect from a new doctor, but I knew that I needed help with the pain in both arms. My first impression of him was that he was so young and looked like he could be my grandson and I wondered what kind of experience he had. After reassuring me that he had done hundreds of rotator cuff surgery, I decided to let me him operate first on my left shoulder. The experience was and has been great. My physical therapist where I live was so amazed at the work that Dr. Robertson had done. I sailed through the therapy and then proceeded to have the right arm done which was worse than the left arm.
Again the results have been amazing and after six months I am free of pain and have gained the mobility of both my arms. I cannot thank Dr. Robertson enough for the exceptional work and care that he gave me. He is a very pleasant and sincere man who seems to listen and care about his patients.
